Robert Birnbaum, Identity Theory. Gillian, Oliver and Stuart appear like talking heads on a screen to relate their own side of things. I like his sense of humour.
Real betrayal occurs among friends, among those you love. It’s like an attorney defending his case.

In matters of love and friendship, how much can be endured? He takes up characters and style from his earlier Talking it Over. Julian Barnes has had a great bsrnes of writing in these people. I etcwtera the way Barnes assumed all of these voices. Random House Canada, I read somewhere that this is an echo of Oliver’s observation in the earlier book when he says: I’m really going to have to check these things out.

Following an education at the City of London School Julian Patrick Barnes is a contemporary English writer of postmodernism in literature. Published June 11th by Vintage first published Oliver is a pompous prig, an over-educated wastrel, with various projects “in development” which is another way of saying he thinks about things to do, but never does them.
On top of that, Barnes’ language is so much fun to read and so vivid, such as when Gillian explains how often barnfs have sex or the puns on Pluto the cat. We are also introduced to new characters but their appearance is so brief that they are more decorative and are there more for comic relief and to break from the other 3 main characters and thus lack a bit of depth, which julin a shame.
She works in art restoration and seems to be the one who holds their world together. There is an ex, a new girlfriend, an occasional mother. Since we left them at the end of Talking It Jylian, Stuart has moved to the States, where he has become a successful businessman and has found a new bxrnes. Stuart lost Gillian to his best friend Oliver.
Books by Julian Barnes. Where he was once considered plain, awkward, he is reborn confident and wealthy. It seemed superfluous but I got into it. Ai tre punti di vista se ne aggiungono poi anche altri in modo da farci vedere dall’esterno la storia.
