Long out of print, this was reprinted just a month ago mid-September, and I looked forward to my library getting it in. Two octopuses got married and walked down the aisle arm in arm in arm in arm, etc. I wasn’t even sure I’d find this book on here.

Abraham ‘Remy’ Charlip born January 10, was an American artist, writer, choreographer, theatre director, designer, and teacher. Such a great book – had I not found my copy from my childhood just recently I would have gasped when I saw your post.
And my body remembers spinning this book to read this! My son gets wildly tickled by the word plays and the line and ink drawings, and the innocence and sweetness of the whole affair takes my breath away.

The playful illustrations and drawings on the cover are an excellent indication of what’s inside and will draw you in.
And it is one book that you can judge by its cover: I checked out Arm in Arm every time I went to the library as a child. Sign up to receive offers and updates: I have quite an old copy of it, and I can’t give it up.
I’ve thought of it quite often throughout my life and oh, how I wished I had a copy. It is filled with lovely rhymes and illustrations, life lessons and thoughtful ideas. The lowest-priced item that has been used or worn previously. I bought it at a garage sale when I was 6 or 7. In this event, there may be a slight delay in shipping and possible variation in description. I remember reading this with my sister when I was about six and being fascinated by the groovy pictures and crazy rhymes.
And as I remember them, wherever I am at, people will wonder why I’m giggling. This little book is very unique and is clearly a treasure. I later released that copy via BookCrossing and replaced it with another one arj better con If I were to carlip a list of the books I’ve read more times than I can count, Arm in Arm by Remy Charlip would be near the top.
Where it isn’t humorous, it is interesting and where it isn’t either it is fun. This book probably xharlip my brain in the best possible way. Isn’t it better to read Arm in Charllp in a warm bed on a cold day saying, “Isn’t it better to read Arm in Arm in a warm bed rather than out in the aarm snow” than out in the cold snow saying, “Isn’t it better to read Arm in Arm in a warm bed rather than out in the eemy snow”? When it’s re-issued I’m buying a copy for me and my nieces!
